Owner & Lead Designer

For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for design and have been creatively inspired by color, textiles, artwork, and all of those things that go into making a space beautiful. Personally speaking, I am at my best in every part of life when I am surrounded by a space that is organized and made up of things that I love to look at! It gives me energy and propels me to be more productive and the best that I can be.

I hope to help my clients achieve their best lives through my designs. Many people may not have considered this, but investing in the décor of your home is really an investment in your whole life! The sectional sofa that allows for the family to cuddle up on movie night, the home office that has a place for everything and keeps you organized (and also accommodates your overnight guests), the master bedroom suite that you cannot wait to retreat to at the end of a busy day, are all vitally important to how you live!! Truly – your
surroundings inspire your Life!

When I meet with a client for the first time, we spend a significant amount of time talking about the color, style, and functional vision for the space. One of my strengths is being able to incorporate existing pieces into a design, all while giving the room a whole new look. Very rarely do I work from a blank slate – most people have favorite things that they wish to work around, and I love the challenge of incorporating them!

I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, and I completed my design coursework through Ashworth College. For several years I decorated homes as a part-time business (mainly during summer months) while I taught middle school band. When I became a part of the Decorating Den Interiors franchise in 2016, I transitioned to interior design as a full-time career and have absolutely loved helping people to enhance their lives with amazing spaces.

Attention to detail, good communication skills and an innate talent for “getting” my clients’ design style are some of my greatest strengths. I am down to earth, low pressure, and have a no-nonsense approach to my projects. I would love to meet with you and get started with the design process that will likely enhance your whole life!

One of my favorite quotes…

“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful”. ~ William Morris
