Anoka is city in northern Twin Cities of Minnesota. With a population of more than 17,142, the suburban city is known as the “Halloween Capital of the World,” because it hosted one of the first Halloween parades in 1920. The city’s name is derived from two Indian words that referred to its location on the banks of the Rum River. The City of Anoka is rich with history, beautiful parks, and flowing rivers. The downtown is filled with wonderful shops, services, and restaurants. We invite you to Anoka to experience what those that live and work here enjoy each day.
