Fall Inspired Outdoor Decor

School has started, the weather is cooling down and the leaves are changing color. Fall is upon us and it’s time to change your outdoor décor to match the season! With many fun fall activities to cross off your list – apple picking, bonfires, pumpkin carving, or trick or treating, for example, it’s nice to have a warm, inviting environment to come home to.

To help with this, outdoor spaces should change with the seasons. Light and airy for spring, bright and bold for summer, and cozy and warm for fall and winter (with the seasonal holiday varieties). This will help you feel at home in your space and allow you to be creative as well as present and involved with the changes happening around you. Making your porch, patio, or deck your own personal outdoor retreat.

Here are some things to think about.

Focus on Nature

Approaching fall is always a splendid opportunity to admire Mother Nature and everything she has to offer. Fall comes with many beautiful shades of foliage, exciting textures, tones, and other natural elements. Embrace the natural elements in your background and use them as inspiration for your design. The beautiful foliage can be the perfect backdrop against your outdoor dining arrangement, so keep this in mind when picking accessories.

Conversation Hot Spots

Whether your outdoor space is where you enjoy some wine with friends or gather with your close family members, it is important to create an entertainment space that becomes something special for everyone involved.

Create an outdoor seating area, it is a great area for statement furniture that’ll bring your guests together.

Fall Décor that Matches You

Fall brings many different décor options including pumpkins, haystacks, jack-o-lanterns, spooky skeletons, and flowers. There are dozens of different color, design, and decor combinations to consider during fall. Let your personal style shine through with your accessory and décor choices when looking for everything from outdoor seating cushions, pillows, and accent rugs to light fixtures and tabletop decor. Here are a few different styles that may fit you:

  • Go for the classics: Pumpkins, gourds, haystacks, and cornstalks matched with shades of orange, brown, yellow, and red keep your space feeling like a classic fall setting.
  • Bold and fun: You can also look for classic fall decor in non-traditional colors and patterns. Including blue plaid, bold colored polka dots, or interesting stripes with non-traditional colors.
  • Let it be Halloween: You can altogether skip the traditional fall colors and theme and head straight for Halloween-inspired decor. Whether that includes purple, green, and orange-colored lights, glittery skeletons, or fake spider webs – Halloween’s presence is clear.
