Laundry Room Innovations

Laundry rooms… A room that is often passed over in homes, is our laundry room. It is an important piece in the grand function of your home. Unfortunately, most of the time it is a cluttered, dark, and outdated space.

Updating your laundry room, from the wall finish to the counters and appliances, help change the mood. It can make doing laundry less dreadful with successful storage, the ease of new appliances, and better visual stimulation.

Redefine Your Space

Laundry rooms have become more recognized when it comes to home design. People need a change that helps motivate them and creates ease for the family. Try using a fun, bold wallpaper that will make you smile or bring you to a special place. Then, pull inspiration from it for the rest of the design. Whether that is repeating colors, textures or shapes throughout, it’ll provide uniformity.

Storage & Organization

Laundry rooms can become a catch-all for house maintenance products and storage. They are a common place for cleaning supplies, backup storage, towels, etc. on top of the everyday laundry room products. That is fine if you tackle it head-on before it becomes a mountain.

Make sure it is properly organized with bins, labels, and most used products being placed in front. This is an easy system to follow once it is put in place and that way, everything “has a home”. The organization not only looks appealing, but it feels good inside.

Multipurpose Function

Laundry rooms are very multipurpose. They can share a mudroom, a hallway, a bathroom, storage & more. The important thing is to make sure it all works together but also that the sections feel separate enough to keep it from feeling cramped & cluttered. Make sure your storage solutions are the most efficient for your space and that it is maximized for your lifestyle.
